It’s still #ThankfulThursday (just barely) and I’m thankful for all of you guys supporting me in the house stuff. It’s my first time buying a house on my own, and while I know there’s still a chance I won’t get it… I feel better just knowing you guys are rooting for me. Hope you all enjoy this hottie, and I wish us all a quick Friday at work. Just a few more days until Corrupt Desires is live! #loveyouguys
In the 1980’s, I was getting divorced and needed to purchase home from soon to be ex.. I was nervous, 1 – home was supported by 2 people and now it would be just me 2 – I was returning to status of single mom – had daughter from first marriage, and was the main support – first husband wasn’t around but that was fine 3- taking a sabbatical, and 4 – VERY high interest rates. Fortunately, had a really good friend to call the night before I was taking over the home and she said she was really proud of me! I told her my fears and she said: ” You get that house, even if, you only keep it for a day – I looked up and verified that homes are owned by less than 2% of women! You get that home and make a statement for our cause the power of women. We Will Roar!! LOL Yes, I got the home, and somehow paid the mortgage and didn’t look back. I felt the strength of ALL the women around me and all was well. If, not this house, then another will find it’s way to you!! You are woman! You Roar! And, you are an amazing author. :-)
Awww thank you so much, Diane! I really appreciate it and I think you’re a TOTAL badass for doing that in the 1980s! You’re amazing!
(((Jennifer))) Aww thank you!! We do as we can – life is a journey – there are bumps in the road, I try not to make them into hills or mountains – LOL . Discovered that the challenges in life are solved whether we take an active role or not – LOL and I work on stomping on those hills!! You are an amazing story teller – thank you for the hours of pleasurable reading – all will be fine – just keep putting one foot in front of the other. :-) Oh, and keep writing. LOL
