Oh, hell yes! It’s #MusicMonday and I fucking LOVE this song today, it’s called “O.O.A.” by 1st Vows (which I believe stands for object of affection, but I couldn’t find anything that agreed with me) and not only do I love the powerful beat/music, but I love this man’s voice too (especially since he’s singing some badass feminist lyrics that make me want to high five him). I mean, seriously, I fucking *LOVE* this song. Crank it up and love it with me!

Lyrics

She’s not your object of affection,
she’s not an object at all.
She’s not the answer to a question.
She’s not waiting to be made whole.

So, remember, remember,
remember, remember,
when you were young boys
with all your blood rushing.
So, remember, remember,
remember, remember,
she never did,
never has,
never will,
never owed you nothing!
Never owed you nothing!

It’s not your fault you’ve been conditioned,
to believe you reap what you sow.
Of woman, God has made no mention,
so does she wait for scraps from the floor?

So, remember, remember,
remember, remember,
when you were young boys
with all your blood rushing.
So, remember, remember,
remember, remember,
she never did,
never has,
never will,
never owed you nothing!
She never owed you nothing!
Never owed you nothing!
Never owed you nothing!

What color would you like her dressed in,
when you look down on her?
Just when you think that she is less than,
she multiplies herself and gives you a son.

Oh, so remember, remember,
remember, remember,
when you were young boys
with all your blood rushing.
So, remember, remember,
remember, remember,
she never did,
never has,
never will,
never owed you nothing!
She never owed you nothing!
She never owed you nothing!
She never owed you nothing!
